WORKSHOPS, LECTURE-DEMONSTRATIONS & TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Meghna believes strongly in the importance of outreach where the classical arts are concerned. She has, over the years, conducted appreciation programs, lecture-demonstrations, and workshops for dancers, beginners, and mixed audiences all over the world.
Meghna is registered to do her PhD under Trans-Disciplinary University and Srishti School of Art, Design, & Technology. Her special interest lies in the source of dance vocabulary, and the relationship between the practice of a traditional art form and identity.
Over the last 7 years, Meghna has given annual lecture-demonstrations at Mount Carmel College, Bangalore, where she is now a regular Guest Faculty. In addition to lecture-demonstrations, Meghna teaches a module in Natyashastra, introducing the concepts of Indian Aesthetics to 2nd Year B.A. students.
In addition, Meghna recruits interns from Mount Carmel College to work on her productions, training them to handle sound and light design, design, stage setup, back-end management, and other aspects of Production.
